PreCentral reports that during an earnings call an HP spokesperson responded to a person asking whether or not Apple’s iPad has hurt their netbook sales by saying HP will release “a webOS-based product in Early 2011.” WebOS is an extremely refined mobile OS that was placed on Palm’s Pre and Pixi smart phones. Unfortunately the OS hasn’t received much love since sales of the Pre and Pixi were much lower than needed to keep the company afloat.
