Rumors continue to swirl around Google’s efforts to challenge the Apple iPad. Last week, the AOL-owned Download Squad told the world that Google, Taiwanese hardware manufacturer HTC, and US wireless carrier Verizon will launch a Chrome OS tablet on November 26, and now, the Israel-based Haaretz claims that the so-called “gPad” will include multitouch technology from Israeli outfit N-trig, whose tech is currently used in Windows tablets from HP

PreCentral reports that during an earnings call an HP spokesperson responded to a person asking whether or not Apple’s iPad has hurt their netbook sales by saying HP will release “a webOS-based product in Early 2011.” WebOS is an extremely refined mobile OS that was placed on Palm’s Pre and Pixi smart phones. Unfortunately the OS hasn’t received much love since sales of the Pre and Pixi were much lower than needed to keep the company afloat.
