据国外媒体报道,有可靠消息称,谷歌公司将会在下周提供Chrome OS PC操作系统的下载。
目前为止,谷歌很少对外谈论Chrome OS的相关信息。但是,谷歌曾表示,Chrome OS将会最早在2010年下半年正式发布,而基于Chrome OS的上网本将于2010年下半年上市。
来自科技博客TechCrunch的消息称,硬件支持将会是Chrome OS的最大问题之一。Chrome OS是基于Linux内核建立的,从理论上讲它将会获得一些很好的驱动程序支持。但是,目前外界还不知道谷歌对Chrome OS的部件做出了怎样的更改,它能够充分利用硬件的优势还尚未可知。
TechCrunch博客指出,谷歌Chrome OS主要面向的市场是上网本市场,因此,很多流行的设备很有可能会获得Chrome OS的支持,如华硕Eee PC。随着时间的推移,Chrome OS很有可能会支持更多的设备。
此前,谷歌曾表示,在Chrome OS项目中,将与宏碁、Adobe、华硕、飞思卡尔、惠普、联想、高通、德州仪器和东芝等公司达成合作。
但是,相关专家认为,即使Chrome OS将在一周内提供下载,但基于Chrome OS系统的上网本不会立即面世,仍然要等到2010年下半年。
